Bmw M5 Concept Reviews
The M5 Concept is as close as to a production model as a concept will ever get. But BMW wasn’t ready to unveil the actual M5, so the “concept” moniker is there for reasons of timing—the new M5 does not reach the German market until the end of the year and will not make it to the U.S. until well into 2005. The so-called concept is indeed the new M5, and the big news is its 5.0-liter V-10 engine that produces 500 horsepower (that’s more than 100 greater than the last M5’s output) and 369 pound-feet of torque. BMW was quick to point out the engine’s similarity of configuration with the Williams Formula One engine, but the M5’s new motor is, in fact, unrelated mechanically.
